DBA presents research project and first results in the German Chancellery
At the invitation of the Department of Foreign Trade, International Economic Policy and Bilateral Economic Relations at the German Chancellery, on May 11, 2022, Prof. Dr. Philipp von Carlowitz in cooperation with the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW) had the opportunity to present the research agenda and first research results of the project “Doing Business in Africa” (DBA). The discussion revealed a great interest in the business perspective on the African markets, as carried out by the DBA project at ESB Business School.
Currently, our research activities are structured in three sub-areas:
- The investigation of China’s engagement in Africa and potentials for non-Chinese companies
- Success factors of European-African sales partnerships
- The publication of an edited book by managers for managers who report on operational issues in Sub-Saharan African markets
